The next time you see the University of Houston’s men’s basketball team in 2018, they’ll be sporting a certain famous logo on the jersey.
The university is proud to announce that UH is part of the Jordan Brand family beginning in the 2018-19 season. Even Chris Paul of the Houston Rockets was excited to welcome the Coogs into the Jumpman family.
“It’s huge..It’s great, not only for the school, but the brand,” Paul said. “The brand stands for excellence.”
What were the first pair of shoes given to the Coogs? None other than a pair of all black Air Jordan 9s.
Coogs are proud to be newest member in Jordan Brand @Jumpman23 family… Great day for our program#ForTheCity #GoCoogs
