After a one-year hiatus, J.J. Watt brought his Celebrity Charity Softball Classic back to Minute Maid Park.
While the stars were hanging out at Toyota Center watching Game 3 of Rockets versus Warriors, Watt had a few stars out himself. DeShaun Watson, DeAndre Hopkins and Jadeveon Clowney all played in the game and Watt himself won the Home Run Derby, besting backup quarterback A.J. McCarron.
In total, the game raised $1 million raised for the Justin J. Watt Foundation.
Of course, Watt provided a few highlight moments in the form of home runs but defensive back Justin Reid came through with a few plays of his own.
Naturally, in a game where offense played against the defense — the offense took home the W. While the O will carry home a trophy, the fans were the real winners.
Watt launched the Charity Softball Game back in 2013, raising $320,000 according to JJWattFoundation.org. In the previous three classics dating back to 2016, it has raised at least $1 million.
