Janelle Monáe‘s Dirty Computer album is *finally* out and so is the emotion picture of the same name! Starring Monáe, Tessa Thompson and more, the film ties together Monáe’s recent music videos and more into one streamlined Afro-futuristic whole. Dirty Computer after all, is about marginalized people fighting against forces that merely want to get rid of them for their “dirt.”
As Monáe stated in her Rolling Stone interview, “I want young girls, young boys, nonbinary, gay, straight, queer people who are having a hard time dealing with their sexuality, dealing with feeling ostracized or bullied for just being their unique selves, to know that I see you.
