Your favorite orange tabby cat has passed on.

Bento, better known as “Keyboard Cat” has delight social media/internet fans with his spunky, fun piano offerings.

The cat, had been giving internet “life” for almost a decade, even starred in a pistachios commercial.

One of the most famous internet kitties time ended earlier this month, according to owner Charlie Schmidt

Young Jas one of the hosts of The Madd Hatta Morning Show was overwhelmed of the news of the cats passing saying, “Keyboard Cat brought pure joy to many when I was in high school, she said in uncontrollable crying fit while watching the memoriam compilation video on YouTube.

Many might not know the original keyboard cat was Fatso, whom Schmidt filmed in the mid- ’80’s. But Fatso’s videos weren’t loaded to Youtube until 2007 but it would take years for it to live in internet infamy.

After Bento was adopted from a shelter in 2010 and touching the keys with his paws, a star was born. He starred in commercials, starred in parodies and successfully inspired people to adopt pets with the #startastoryadopt.

Bento’s owner said there could be yet a third Keyboard Cat if he “finds one with the right personality at a shelter.”
