A Texas roller coaster started its final few days of operation on a sour note this weekend.  The “San Antonio Express-News” reports the Rattler at Six Flag Fiesta Texas came to a sudden stop last Friday, leaving about 20 riders stranded at the top of the ride for almost 45 minutes.  Park spokesman Sydne Purvis says the riders weren’t in any danger, and were eventually walked down the wooden coaster.  Purvis explains that the ride’s computerized safety override system brought it to a halt and would not let it start again.  But park officials were eventually able to get the Rattler back up and running so it could keep offering thrills until its final trip around the track Sunday night.  The Rattler was once deemed the world’s fastest, tallest wooden roller coaster, but was decommissioned after 20 years in operation.
