Who wasn’t watching the Super Bowl last night?

The ratings are in, and the battle between the Green Bay Packers and the Pittsburgh Steelers has made Fox the first network to draw more than a 100 million viewers for a night in primetime.

There were 111 million viewers tuning in to Fox Sports’ broadcast, making it the most-watched program in U.S. TV history. By comparison, last year’s Super Bowl was watched by 106.5 million. (When it comes to fútbol, the most-watched FIFA World Cup men’s game in the U.S. was the U.S.-Ghana game in June, which attracted an average of 14.9 million viewers to ABC, a total that reaches more than 19 million when combined with Univision’s viewership.)

This is also the sixth consecutive year that viewership for the Super Bowl has gone up, going from an average of 86.1 million in 2005 to 111 million, according to the network.

Of course, “Glee’s” post-Bowl show got a bump in ratings as well: It was the highest-rated scripted program in three years among adults 18-49 with 26.8 million watching, also making the episode a series high.
