On March 7th, 2025, Bun B will once again host another huge night of music at The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. This will make the fourth time Bun’s taken the reigns, and much like year’s past, we’ll have to wait to see who the Trill OG brings along for the ride.

For Houstonians, have seen the night grow in scale from a local affair into something much larger.
In 2022, Bun’s first year teaming up with the rodeo (and the first rodeo since the global pandemic put the world on pause), the big show was titled Bun B’s “H-Town Takeover,” and featured several legends of The Lone Star State.
The following year things expanded, and attendees were treated to The Southern Takeover. Like 2022, the lineup showed love to Texas with acts like Erykah Badu and Scarface in the mix, while bringing in other big names from outside the great state.
In 2024, things grew even larger in scope: Bun B’s All-American Takeover covered hip-hop from coast to coast. The impressive lineup brought in acts from all over the map and concluded with a surprise solo set from Drake.
So the obvious question is… where do we go from here?
The 2025 lineup hasn’t been revealed yet but with the first act set to be announced soon, Bun took to social media with a message suggesting that we all should expect the unexpected.
“I don’t know what you think is gonna happen on March 7,” Bun wrote via Instagram on January 14. This year’s event, dubbed Bun B’s Birthday Bonanza may go even bigger than what we witnessed last rodeo season. “But trust me. I’m bringing something for EVERYBODY this year. Hold on to your hats and get your [Rodeo] tickets early. They won’t be there once we show you what we got in store. Get your fits ready because it’s about to be a party!”
With a little less than two months til the big day, let’s take a look back at every artist Bun has brought to perform at the biggest party in H-Town.
