With all the talk about female rappers burning up social media, leave it to one of the best to ever do it to return with a brand new single.
After a six-year hiatus from hip-hop, Eve is back with a brand new track “Reload” featuring Jamaican dancehall artist Konshens. The reggae-tinged track finds Eve rapping about a dude you should be wary of, especially after he’s done you wrong.
“I love reggae so much,” the first lady of Ruff Ryders says. “I’ve been going to Jamaica since 1999 and anyone that knows me knows that you’ll find me in a corner with my reggae on, dancing. We wrote the line before [Konshens] was involved [‘F*cking up my conscience/ Listening to Konshens’] and I’m just glad he was feeling it.”
