Proctor Gets The DNA Evidence Thrown Out!
During a visit with Ghost, Proctor and Terry learn from Ghost that Greg pulled him over after he broke into Greg’s apartment and Angela also knew about it. The unsolicited stop explains why Greg’s DNA was on Ghost once he explains to Proctor and Terry that Greg slammed him on his car.
WIth this new information, Proctor tells Terry to get on it immediately and go find any kind of evidence that proves that the stop happened. If Proctor can prove it did in fact happened he can have the DNA evidence thrown out based ont he fact the prosecution knew about it and failed to disclose it in court. Proctor immediately shows why he’s worth all of those coins when he brings up the stop in court.
The prosecution objects immediately but the judge isn’t trying to hear it. The prosecution’s poor judgement and even Saxe’s impromptu visit plays a role in his decision to allow Proctor’s new evidence. Thanks to the good work of Terry they pulled footage from a traffic camera showing the stop. They also have both Ghost and Greg’s cellphones pinging off a tower in that same location.
The judge agrees to allow the new evidence in court and allow the prosecution to continue to use the DNA evidence and Proctor was like:
Proctor drops the bomb on the prosecution to the judge about Angela knowing about Greg’s illegal stop of Ghost. The judge has heard enough and tells Angela to approach the bench to get to the bottom of everything. Mak also approaches the bench to plead his case. He tells the judge that they indeed knew about the stop but thought it didn’t happen. The judge points out if they thought it didn’t happen, then how come Proctor found evidence of it ?
The judge then gives the prosecution two options:
- They can keep their DNA evidence, but Proctor gets to submit his illegal stop evidence and it looks like the prosecution covered up.
- They agree to dismiss the DNA evidence and only work with the murder weapon and fingerprint.
They choose to dismiss the DNA evidence, FINALLY some good news from team Ghost!
