Since comedian/actor Hannibal Buress couldn’t make the new “Spider-Man: Homecoming” premier in Los Angeles, he did what anyone would do, he hired a man who looked like him to go as him.
Ok, maybe not everyone would do it, but Hannibal did it. He sent a tweet out saying, “L.A. I need a lookalike with solid comedic timing for an event tonight. Pays $500.”

Hannibal hired actor Joe Carroll, a man he met at the production of last month’s MTV Movie and TV Awards.
“If I went to the carpet and did 20-plus interviews, you wouldn’t have reached out to my publicist. So it worked!” he told the Associated Press on Thursday.
Hannibal even posted a video of his Twitter page saying, “I’m out here at the  premiere. In theaters July 8th.”
Joe Carroll posted a few pictures to his Instagram page saying, “When @hannibalburess hits you up and tells you to crash the red carpet since he couldn’t make it… You crash the da*n red carpet  #standIn#bodyDouble #whichIsWhich#partyCrasher #redcarpet#weAllLookAlikeRight?”
And another picture with the caption, “Just crashed the red carpet as @hannibalburess #standIn #bodyDouble #whichIsWhich#partyCrasher #redcarpet#weAllLookAlikeRight?”
Hannibal told the AP, “It worked way better and I didn’t have to fly or anything and I was able to still do the job I was scheduled to do and still promote the movie in a way more effective way than if I dressed up and went to the carpet. So it’s a win for me, it’s a win for the studio and the movie and it’s a win for Joe that did it.”
By the way, “Spider-Man: Homecoming” comes out July 7th in the theaters.
