Yesterday was the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft and the Houston Texans traded up for the 12th pick for Clemson’s quarterback Deshaun Watson.

TMZ tried to catch up with the Houston Texans’ inside linebacker Brian Cushing at their hotel in Philly last night.

They wanted to ask Cushing what he thought about the draft pick for Deshaun Watson and Cushing responded with, “I’m looking forward to it.”
He also said that he was excited for it. They tried asking if he would be started for the 2017 season and he didn’t respond.
The Texans’ GM and Head coach had some things to say on the Houston Texans website too.
Bill O’Brien said that Deshaun is “a great fit” and that He will be there to watch learn from Tom Savage before he’s to player starter.
Rick Smith said, “He (Watson) comes in, he learns, puts his head down and goes to work. Starts to try to earn the respect of his teammates to try to learn how to play quarterback in pro football. Right now, we’re very comfortable with where we are with the quarterback position with Tom (Savage). Tom is going to continue. I like Tom’s potential in this offense.”
