Yesterday Entertainment Tonight reported, “Lady Gaga was told by the NFL that she cannot say anything or bring anything up about the election, or mention Donald Trump.”
“The Super Bowl is a time when people really come together,” the NFL’s statement continued with. “Lady Gaga is focused on putting together an amazing show for fans and we love working with her on it; we aren’t going to be distracted by this.”

After the story came out, The National Football League denied the reports and said, “This is unsourced nonsense from people trying to stir up controversy where there is none,” Natalie Ravitz, a spokeswoman from the NFL said in a statement.
The spokeswoman’s statement continued with, “Lady Gaga is focused on putting together an amazing show for fans and we love working with her on it; we aren’t going to distracted by this.”
It wasn’t any secret that during the election, Lady Gaga was a Hillary Clinton supporter and performer for rallies and later standing outside of the Trump Tower in Manhattan while standing on a sanitation truck and holding a sign reading “Love Trumps Hate“.
