The show “Taboo” has shown us before that some people enjoying having fetishes and fantasy role-playing to live or act like a baby, and adult baby.
A man in Mount Prospect, IL., is one of those people who enjoy living like a baby too and now he has opened a store called Tykables.
In this story you’ll see the owner, John -Michael “Tod” Williams sitting around in adult-sized baby diapers in his adult-baby store showing you that you’re free to be yourself in there.
In his store he wants people to come in and to play, to be that child, baby that they enjoy being… do role-playing, anything. If you want to be spoon fed, suck on a pacifier, sit inside a giant crib or baby talk.
He says, “We definitely want people to fill the space with things for people to come and play, take pictures. Not everybody has access to a nursery, so one of the things we wanted to do was provide one.”
This is called “Paraphilic infantilism” or aka autonepiophilia and adult baby syndrome “a is sexual fetish that involves role-playing a regression to infant-like state.”
John-Michael says, “Adult baby syndrome is still a new entity for psychiatrists, and there are undoubtedly variations within the syndrome. )one of the cases saying) that he wanted someone to ‘make him be a baby’ evokes images of the sadomasochistic scenarios enacted by a dominatrix and her clients”
There’s no shock that there is a number of people who aren’t happy that this store opened in April and the locals are trying to demand that the authorities shut down Tykables or make John-Michael relocate his business. He hasn’t broken any laws and his business isn’t opened for anyone to walk in… it’s by appointments only.
Some residents were quoted as to saying, “He’s getting his party going in there, and we’re supposed to sit back and watch.” Another said, “They’re not having sex with their diapers on, they’re having people feed them and act like a baby.”
What the Mayor Arlene Juracek said about John-Michael’s business was, “a mayor’s worst nightmare.”
And she advised people NOT to watch his YouTube promo, because she said that it has a “big ick factor” and “you can’t un-view it once you see it.”
Their Mayor didn’t stop there with her comments, she also said, “It’s a business that many people find at best distasteful, but that is legal and for which non zoning or village board approval is required.”
John-Michael says that he feels that the communities feelings are out of fear and because they don’t know what it is or maybe because they have misconceptions that this has to do with pedophiles.
He said, “The ABDL community has nothing to do with children. They don’t want to be with a child, they want to be the child.”
