Never judge a book (or a musical) by it’s cover/playbill. Once I saw the artwork for “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical,” I did not think that a woman sitting beside a piano (smiling off into the distance) would be able to grasp my attention for two hours. Boy, was I wrong! This was one of the best shows I’ve seen in a looooooong time. “Beautiful” The Carole King Musical Is Nothing Short Of AMAZING!!! I learned so much about how Carole King inspired the soundtrack of a generation. She was the writer behind some of the dopest and most soulful sounds ever known to mankind. If you get a chance, check out this play at the Hobby Center before it closes on June 5th! If you need someone to tag along…. I wouldn’t mind seeing it again ;-) Hint. Hint. LOL
