Some of my favorite throwback sitcoms that starred African-Americans are Martin, One On One, Moesha, Girlfriends, The Fresh Prince & The Parkers. TV literally made me forget about my problems in those days. Shoot, they would even tackle real-life issues that our community experienced. Now, there’s more trashy sportswives reality shows on our screens and I can’t wait til this era ends. In all honesty, it DOES seem like it’s starting to fade away. Thank goodness for programs like Being Mary Jane, Empire, Scandal and How To Get Away with Murder.
