(Fruitport Township, MI)  —  A suspected shoplifter is facing charges after using a motorized shopping cart as a getaway vehicle.  The “Muskegon Chronicle” reports that Shirley Mason allegedly stole over 600-dollars worth of clothing from a Fruitport Township, Michigan Wal-Mart Monday and fled the scene in a motorized wheelchair cart.  Someone spotted her leaving the Wal-Mart parking lot with the cart and called police, who caught up with her two miles down the road.  She told officers she took the cart because she “didn’t feel like walking.”  At first she claimed she had bought the clothing, but later admitted that she took it so she could sell it.
