(HOUSTON) — A 22-year-old Houston man was sentenced Thursday to 40 years in federal prison for two counts of trafficking children for commercial sex.
Tevon Harris – also known as “Da Kidd” and “King Kidd” – pleaded guilty in April.
After 480 months behind bars, Harris will spend the rest of his life on supervised release and he’ll have to register as a sex offender.

According to the plea agreement, Harris forced young girls into prostitution from January to July 2012. He said he met the victims on social media and told them he would help them break into the modeling industry.
Instead, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said he picked them up, took them to motel rooms and forced them to have sex with him.
The girls’ phones were taken away, and some victims were beaten and abused. One girl was reportedly deprived of food for days, and they were given drugs and alcohol.
“The victims were photographed and their images were posted in online ads for prostitution,” according to the USAO. “Harris kept all monies they earned.”
