Minnesota Vikings running back player Adrian Peterson is scheduled to face a judge for the first time Friday in connection with charges he resisted arrest at a night club located in Downtown Houston.

The NFL Minnesota Vikings player was arrested last weekend after police say he pushed an off-duty officer who was working security at the Bayou Place club. He was asked by the officer to leave because the club was closing.

Peterson was reportedly talking to a group of people and after being asked to leave, he allegedly continued his conversation with the group, ignoring the officer’s request.

Peterson denies the pushing allegation saying he was in fact, assaulted by the officer during the incident. Peterson is being represented by local attorney Rusty Hardin.
