The goal at the prom is to turn heads with the outfit you wear and that’s just what Texanna Edwards did.  When the senior at Gibson County High School in Dyer, Tennesse made her entrance in a prom dress that featured a pattern of the Confederate flag school officials turned her away.  They thought the dress was  “offensive and inappropriate.”

She was told she could return if she changed her dress.  Edwards refused, at a loss for why her dress was “offensive and inappropriate.”

Her defense? Black people loved it! “We kept asking people walking inside — black and white — and everyone said they loved it.”

Do you love it?
