Officials say an 88-year-old woman passed away after her clothes got tangled in the escalator of a Long Island railroad station, strangling her to death.

The victim’s neighbors say Irene Bernatzsky was very healthy for her age and walked to the train station frequently to take trips to visit her daughter in Manhattan.
