Haitian born Wyclef Jean said in a press conference on Monday that the country’s capital of Port-Au-Prince needs to be evacuated.

Wyclef says the capital is a “morgue”, which he witnessed first hand during his visit to Haiti.

But to start the clean up, the people of Haiti need somewhere to go, which Wyclef says is the problem.

Jean explains “We need to migrate at least 2 million people. I give you my word, if I tell them to go, they will go. But they need somewhere to go to.”

The musician is asking for the world’s help in creating tent cities outside the destroyed capital so the clean up can begin.

Meanwhile, Wyclef’s charity Yele Haiti is still deciding how they’ll be spending the $2 million they’ve raised in relief efforts.
