Spirit Airlines has the internet divided after a passenger was denied access to her flight over a new dress code policy. Tanasia Grayer was boarding a flight back to Chicago after a weekend of partying in Miami when a flight attendant told her, “You’re not getting on the plane like that… with those shorts.” Tanasia was wearing a short athletic two-piece set with a Versace robe layered over it. “I’m confused… this is crazy,” her sister and travel companion Jessica repeated. The wild part? Tanasia wore the exact same outfit on the Spirit flight to Miami with no issues. Naturally, tensions rose. Tanasia was ready to go home, and things escalated — leading to Jessica’s arrest for disorderly conduct and trespassing after being told to “calm down.” Spirit Airlines updated their dress code policy earlier this year: clothing that’s see-through, reveals private areas, or features lewd, obscene, or offensive graphics is now prohibited. Jessica was later released in Miami, and the duo ended up flying home on another airline. They are now officially on Spirit’s no-fly list.

There are plenty of things you shouldn’t do at the airport if you don’t want to end up on somebody’s viral TikTok or the no-fly list. 1) Don’t show up looking like you’re headed to the club — TSA is not bottle service. 2) Don’t fight the gate agent — they hold the power, and yes, they will call security. 3) Don’t hold up the TSA line because you “forgot” to take out your laptop or that 32 oz. bottle of lotion. 4) Don’t treat the moving walkway like a theme park ride. Walk, or move to the right! 5) Don’t overshare on FaceTime at max volume — nobody wants to hear your situationship drama. 6) Don’t bring your emotional support python. Yes, that happened. No, it didn’t end well. 7) And finally — don’t argue about the dress code in the boarding lane. The airport is not a courtroom, and Spirit does not care about your Versace robe.

Good Morning H-Town Sparks Debate with Official Houston Mt. Rushmore of Music

When I hit the airport, 99% of the time I’m in a sweatsuit, my signature Bow Wow durag, and some Js. In the 1950s, flying was considered a luxury and people actually dressed up for flights. But it’s 2025! So what are you wearing to the airport — comfort or drip? Personally, I feel like there was definitely some bias and prejudice in this Spirit situation, especially since other passengers were also wearing shorts. What do you think?
