Parking Space Dispute Leads To Deadly Shooting In Southwest Houston

One person is dead and authorities say an argument over an empty parking space ended in gunfire over the weekend. The incident occurred late Saturday night (July 13) at the Ltd. Med Center Apartments in southwest Houston.

Acting Chief Satterwhite of the Houston Police Department said one person fired a gunshot in the air, and in response, the other individual withdrew their weapon and fired. The victim was struck at least one time.

In a tragic twist, the person who had been shot was also accidentally run over by their own family member as they attempted to leave the scene.

The victim was taken to an area hospital but later died from their injuries.
