In response to the severe aftermath of Hurricane Beryl, which left many Houstonians without power, water, and essential resources for three days, Radio One Houston Stations (97.9 The Box, Majic 102.1, 93Q Country, and The Eagle 106.9/107.5) partnered with Kroger, Trill Burgers, and The Harris County Judge Office to distribute much-needed aid to the community.
The collaborative effort resulted in the distribution of over 500 hot meals and more than 3,000 cases of water to those in need. The event saw enthusiastic participation from various community members and volunteers.

“It’s in times like this when our listeners need essential resources that we partner together to become the resource for those that are in need,” said Pamela McKay, Vice President & Market Manager of Radio One Houston.
Texas rap legend Bun B was on the front lines, personally delivering his famous Trill Burgers to Houstonians who had been without a hot meal for days. He was joined by Radio One personalities GMan (97.9 The Box), KG Smooth (Majic 102.1), Gerardo and Lo (93Q Country), Kroger staff, and dedicated volunteers.
