Looks like Scarface isn’t the only Geto Boy running for a seat on City Council.

According to Houston Chronicle reporter Jasper Scherer, Willie D has put his name in the race for District B, the seat being vacated by Jerry Davis who is term-limited. The other candidates running for the seat include Robin Anderson, Cynthia Bailey, Patricia Bourgeois, Alvin Byrd, Karen Kossie-Chernyshev, Tarsha Jackson, James Joseph, Alyson Quintana, Renee Jefferson Smith, Ben White Jr. and Huey Wilson.

District B covers the area including Aldine Westfield and the majority of Fifth Ward, Kashmere Gardens and Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Willie confirmed the news via Instagram.

“What’s better than one Geto Boy running for City Council? It’s on family!” he captioned on Instagram. “This is the next step in my evolution to serve and I need your help! Click the link in my profile above ☝🏾and donate to our cause now to help me help the people.”
