This segment of Access Houston we have, friend to the program, Holly Charles, the founder of Houston Play on Purpose, along with Iman Garrett-Price with the Emancipation Park Conservancy, and poet, actor, director, and all around talent Joe P. They’re here to talk about Emancipation Park Conservancy’s 147th Juneteenth Celebration, which will feature, Movies in the Tre, Youth Talent Show, and a Juneteenth Pageant. Another great thing about the celebration is the return of the stage play In All Thy Getting: The Forgotten Story of Freedmen’s Town, which celebrates the history of Houston Fourth Ward.
