The story of Miami’s City Girls is here.

“Point Blank Period,” the 22-minute Mass Appeal x Quality Control documentary on the City Girls is finally out and it gives a pretty serious breakdown of the rise and turbulent times of the “I’ll Take Your Man” duo. The doc opens with Yung Miami (Caresha Brownlee) and JT (Jatavia Johnson) signing their major deal with QC / Capitol Music, 11 months after the duo recorded their first song together as a group. A week later? JT’s getting sentenced to two years in federal prison for fraud charges.

The doc shows JT’s reaction to hearing Drake‘s “In My Feelings” for the first time before tearfully saying goodbye to family, friends and fans and more. From Yung Miami adjusting to life as a new parent to JT realizing that her actions now affect the financial lives of many of people she’s close to, the documentary is all about the ups and downs of being one of the biggest groups on the rise.
