Future‘s first full-length of 2018 (not counting the Superfly soundtrack) is here as he and Zaytoven link up for the sequel to 2015’s Beast Mode mixtape. Zay originally teased the project back in May saying that when he and Future Hendrix work together, it’s “a work of art.”
The two originally had made around 100 songs for BEASTMODE 2 but scaled the entire thing down to 9 songs and 31 minutes. ” I’m the type of guy where, if I see like 20 songs, I don’t even wanna listen to one of ‘em ‘cause it’s too much,” Zaytoven says.
Of course, any Future tape has its fair case of bars to send #FutureHive into a frenzy. The line, “I shoulda never got caught up with a cougar,” from “Racks Blue” is an obvious allusion to his alleged affair with Larsa Pippen, the wife of NBA Hall of Famer, Scottie Pippen. “I hate the real me,” from the tape closer “Hate The Real Me” is probably going to be the IG caption for a LOT of savages this summer. And right on time.
