The Air Jordan 11 is arguably the most popular Air Jordan of them all. Jordan Brand drops a new sneaker every year (see last December’s red edition of the shoe) and this year is no different. This Saturday, Jordan is digging into the “blackout” sample box from 2011 to drop the “Prom Night” or “Cap And Gown” 11s.

BRAND: Jordan Brand

SHOE: Air Jordan 11 “Prom Night / Cap And Gown”

WIDE RELEASE: Yes

RETAIL: $250

What’s the different between these and Jordan 11 releases, particularly the “Space Jams” from years prior? Well, the all-black sneaker features a premium nubuck upper as opposed to the traditional mesh and the patent leather is there as well. Staying in line with the OG kicks of the past, these bad boys have been outfitted with a blue tint translucent outsole. So all the components of the OG 11 in a blacked out color way.

Why “Prom Night?” Well, we always did joke that the Air Jordan 11 was the only Jordan you’d probably wear to prom. Peep the stats on the AJ11 dropping this Saturday (May 26) along with the retail price just so that resellers don’t try to gouge you too bad. The alternative kick of the week? The Nike Air Force 1 Low Spring Patchwork which … is like celebrating Easter a month later. That drops Saturday as well, to a price tag of $130.
