The Met Gala, arguably the biggest night in fashion that isn’t tied to a particular fashion week is tonight and for the first time in a few years, Beyonce isn’t going!
The last minute change was revealed earlier today as ET got the early word that she and husband Jay-Z decided to hit the road to relax before the OTR II tour.
“JAY-Z surprised her with a trip because he felt she needed to relax before her tour,” the insider revealed, adding that Bey was planning on wearing a custom designed gown by DUNDAS. The designer behind the brand, Peter Dundas, had been working for weeks on the custom creation prior to what would have been the big reveal. Just a few weeks back, Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams followed up their Coachella reunion when they celebrated Dundas’s first traveling flagship store opening in West Hollywood, California.
There have been many famous Beyonce nights at the Met Gala but probably none have been more epic than the one in 2014 when security cameras saw what happened in that elevator with her, Jay and Solange. Needless to say, we got three classic albums out of it in Lemonade, 4:44, and A Seat At The Table.
