French fashion designer Hubert de Givenchy has died at 91, the couture house bearing his name confirmed on social media.
Aside from dressing some of your favorite stars, Givenchy is perhaps most known for designing the little black dress his muse Audrey Hepburn wore in Breakfast At Tiffany’s. His style defined classic, ready-to-go wear that mixed with luxury and high-end fashion. He launched a menswear line in 1969 called Givenchy Gentleman before he sold the Givenchy house to luxury brand LVMH in 1988. He retired in 1995.
