If you’ve watched Drake God’s Plan‘s video then you’ve probably shed at least one or two thug tears. The Karena Evans directed video saw the OVO rapper drop $1 million to various citizens of Miami as a random act of kindness. Jimmy Kimmel Live!‘s Guillermo Rodriguez was so driven by the video, he decided to make his own version.

“Have you seen that new Drake video where he goes around and gives money away, ‘God’s Plan?'” Kimmel asked his audience on Thursday’s show. “It’s very popular. It has, like, 36 million views in the last five days and it has inspired a lot of people, including our own Guillermo. Guillermo was inspired, so he decided to make his own music video where he gives out money. Not as much money, right? Drake gave away a million dollars, but it’s not the amount that matters. It’s the thought that, I think, counts the most.”

Guillermo’s “God’s Plan,” didn’t have the same kind of budget as Drake’s massive video. A $100 budget, to be precise. In the video’s intro, Guillmero’s version anyway, the placard says that the comedian gave away “almost all” of the budget. Even more strange? The 99 Cents Only Store where the Kimmel! crew filmed the $100 parody claims to be open nine days a week. Scary hours indeed.
