On Monday, Actor James Wood shocked and offended people with his opinionated derogatory comments that he posted to his Twitter page.
The actor’s post was regarding a picture of a young kid who at the Orange County Pride Parade in California.
The kid is considered, “Gender Creative” and he was there with his parents who were both showing their support for their son’s life decision.
In the picture you see online shows the boy’s mom holding up a colorful a sign that read, “I love my Gender Creative son!” and his father’s sign read, “My son wears dresses & make-up… Get over it!”

The family looked happy with big smiles, but this is what the actor had to say about the family picture – “This is sweet. Wait until this poor kid grows up, realizes what you’ve done, and stuffs both of you dismembered into a freezer in the garage.”
This tweet didn’t sit well with many, but especially with fellow actor, Neil Patrick Harris.
Neil Patrick Harris told the 70-year old James Woods in a tweet, “Utterly ignorant and classless, Mr. Woods. I’m friends with this family. You know not of what you speak, and should be ashamed of yourself.”
It was reported on People that the mother of the young boy in the picture is Lori Duron and she later blogged about her son’s experience at Pride calling it, “My Gender Creative Son’s First Pride.”
Here is what she had to say about her son’s experience in her blog She said in her blog, “My sweet, fabulous, rainbow boy has never received so many compliments. He’s used to getting stress and whispers when we’re out in public. He’s not used to getting smiles, hugs and encouragement he received at Pride.”
Neil Patrick Harris is openly gay and just celebrated 13 years with his husband David Burtka. The twins, one boy and one girl. Their son’s name is Gideon Scott and their daughter’s name is Harper Grace.
This also isn’t the first time James Wood tweeted derogatory comments… back in May he tweeted something about CNN’s Anderson Cooper’s sexuality saying, “As his butt plug dislodges during a newscast…”
