The Dallas Cowboys newly signed cornerback Nolan Carroll was pulled over early Monday morning and later arrested for driving while Intoxicated.

Carroll was arrested in the uptown part of Dallas and later bonded out by Monday afternoon.

It’s possible that the CB will be penalized by the NFL for personal conduct policy which could result in fines and/or suspension.

A suspension would be bad for the CB who was recently signed off of free agency and for a three-year contract with $10 million and $4 million is guaranteed.

Carroll is going to competing for the starter spot since the Cowboys also drafter three CB during the in the second, third and sixth rounds. The team was able to workout with Carroll and saw something they liked.

When talking about Carroll, the Cowboys’ head coach Jason Garrett said, “We’ve been playing against him for a long time, and he’s just a good football player and has been in this league,” Garrett said. “He plays a very challenging position, corner, in the NFL. He’s been playing it for a long time, and he’s played at a high level. He’s a physical player. He’s a good cover guy. He’s a smart football player. We’ve seen all that already this offseason.”
