It’s not often that I like a musical at first listen. I remember watching “The Color Purple” musical in Galveston and falling in love with it. I’m headed to New York next and still debating on which two Broadway shows I wanna check out. Jennifer Hudson is currently playing Shug Avery, but I would have LOVED to see what Tichina Arnold would’ve done with that role. Here’s a sneak peek of her audition tape. Thank me later.
