Well if you saw Kanye West’s performance on SNL this weekend, consider yourself “lucky” because he almost walked TF out.
Apparently Ye’ threw an epic tantrum backstage and threatened to walk off the show during its live broadcast. Sources say SNL’s Lorne Michaels and Kim Kardashian had to keep Kanye from bailing on the show. SNL staff was also freaking out because they didn’t know what to do in the event that Kanye dipped mid-show.
He was dissatisfied with the SNL set for his performance because it included just a video screen and “not much else.”
Here’s his first performance of the night with “Highlights” ft. Young Thug, Kelly Price, DeBarge, and The Dream.
Kim Kardashian came down from sitting with Kylie Jenner in the audience to calm Kanye down.
Another source says: “He freaked out about how the set was arranged. He was saying he’s ‘the greatest artist.’ He’s having regular meltdowns. Everyone’s walking on eggshells around him. He’s under a lot of stress between the new album and the fashion line.”
Honestly Chance The Rapper killed this performance anyways, but alright Ye’. Kirk Franklin, The Dream, and Kelly Price also performed “Ultralight Beam” with Kanye. Watch the full performance below:
