I recently became of fan of Chance The Rapper after seeing how he captured the attention of a wild crowd at the 2015 Free Press Summer Festival. If you’ve ever been, you know that people are hardly focused on one sole artist, but his performance was a lil bit different. For a moment, it seemed as though the thousands of people that were at the event were all stopped and had their eyes fixated on Chance’s set. I was getting food and I decided to step out of line just to see him get down. (PS: you gotta be really good if you can pull me away from food). LOL

With that being said… after seeing him perform “Sunday Candy” that day with a live band by the name of “The Experiment,” he had my support from then on. His recent performance at the Revention Music Center for his Family Matters Tour was just as great, especially considering the fact that HE WAS SICK!

And I don’t mean a lil cough cough or hachuu hachuu. Homie was sick to the point where he had to cancel two shows in North Carolina. I applaud him for still giving Houston his all, despite being under the weather. Chancellor was supposed to come on my show, but I think it was more important for him to get rest before he hit the stage that night. He agreed that we’ll get together on-air soon, which was cool but I’m just happy that he’s feeling better… and that I got a dope picture with him (in front of his tour bus. :-)
