20 years ago, the historic Million Man March drew unprecedented crowds of African-American men and women to Washington, D.C. in 1995 in an effort to collectively combat the negative images of Black men in society by showing unity in the nation’s capital. The gathering was also to advocate for political awareness of social and economic issues plaguing the Black community.

In commemoration of the upcoming Million Man March 20th anniversary this Friday, supporters from all walks of life traveled to Washington, D.C. today to be a part of the “Justice Or Else” march and celebration advocating for African-American civil rights in the wake of the police war on Black lives and just ahead of the upcoming Presidential election.

A host of notable speakers and prominent activists participated in the program including Trayvon Martin’s mother Sybrina Fulton, as well as the families of Sandra Bland, Erica Garner and Mike Brown, who all preceded Minister Louis Farrakhan’s address to the crowd.
