On May 2nd the night before his fight, Mayweather was injected with saline and vitamins that are banned under the World Anti-Doping Agency guidelines. Three weeks after the fight Mayweather was given an exemption by the United States Anti-Doping Agency for the IV.

ESPN reports say, “Although the substances contained in the IV were not banned by WADA, whose standards USADA says it follows, the fact that they were given intravenously was not allowed.”

Apparently the IV was given to him for dehydration purposes. Mayweather has released a statement saying that he hasn’t violated any rules or guidelines.
