Check it out, Denzel Washington hit up the Dallas Cowboys’ practice on Saturday.
Denzel was the big dog in the movie, Remember the Titans. The movie might be 10-years-old, but it’s still one of the greatest football movies out there in our times.
Denzel wasn’t alone at the Cowboys’ practice, he was accompanied by his son, J.D. Washington aka John David Washington, one of the stars of HBO’s newest show Ballers where he plays along side of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

J.D. plays the character Ricky Jerret on the show, but in his real life, J.D. really did play football.
J.D. is really a former American football running back who played college football at Morehouse and also spent four years as a RB for the United Football League’s (UFL) California franchise.
It was in the UFL where J.D. played alongside with the Dallas Cowboys’ fullback Tyer Clutts.
Denzel also gave a statement saying, “First of all, I’ve been a Cowboy fan my whole life. I’m talking about Duane Thomas. I’m talking about Walt Garrison, Calvin Hill, Tony Dorsett. So I’ve been a fan for a long time. Just to be out here is just fun for me.”
They even asked the fullback Clutts what he thinks about the show Ballers and he said, “I think it’s extreme but there’s a lot of truth. It’s a good show. I’m really happy that he got it.”
