WWE’s Vince McMahon’s rules of do’s and don’ts to his commentators was recently leaked online the other day.
The instructions of do’s and don’t is eight pages where Vince McMahon is telling the WWE announcers what to avoid in saying and how to talk about the talent.
When you read them, you see that some of the instructions were obvious like telling them to make notes of pre-recorded shows and don’t read off of sheets because it sounds like they’re reading. The bossman tells them that when you read it makes the viewers lose interest… obvious stuff like that.
The other instructions that they were given were all referencing the wrestlers and the matches.
He tells them to:
  • Don’t call WrestleMania “granddaddy of them all” because it makes WrestleMania feel old
  • Take the high road- Don’t be crude especially with the Divas
  • Don’t call the audience “fans,” speak to them directly and call them “you”
The leaked instructions shows that WWE is all business and is trying to work for the fans…
