JJ’s Blog: My Amazing Retreat To Leakey, TX

This past weekend I spend a few days in the canyons of Leake, TX on a leadership retreat.  This was my second time visiting Laity Lodge which is owned by H.E.B  It’s such a beautiful and peaceful place.  I’ve never traveled to a place that was so QUIET! LOL!  It was quite the treat! I had the opportunity to meet some amazing people who are discovering how the can give back to the world through their careers.  We had a few discussions on understanding that times will be hard but learning to be ok with it and continuing to focus on the ultimate outcome.  I got a great deal of well need rest!  I even hiked up this mountain to Circle Bluff alone to challenge myself.  It was a beautiful experience!

Even though it was pretty darn cold, I spent many moments by the HUGE fireplace having warm conversations with people about how to better ourselves for the sake of the world.
