Heartbeats By Lady Gaga Headphones UnveilingThe highest-paid musician for 2014 is….you guessed it, Dr. Dre.  Partially, because his sale of Beats Music, co-founded with music mogul, Jimmy Iovine.

It’s estimated that Dre earned about $620 million in 12 months.

The closet to Dre was Houston’s own, Beyonce with a measly $115 million. Although that makes her the highest paid female musician for 2014.

To form the list, they considered income from touring, recorded music, publishing, merchandise sales, endorsements and other ventures. Management, agent and lawyer fees were not deducted. Earnings were calculated from June 2013 to June 2014 and based on data from Pollstar, the RIAA and Nielsen, and on interviews with managers, lawyers, executives and some artists themselves.
