Local pediatrician was found safe Sunday after she called home from El Campo, Texas.
Fehintola Omidele, 25, was reported missing on Dec. 3 after her car was missing and she did not show up to work at the Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Family, friends, and a search crew were on the hunt for a week to find the doctor until they received a call from Omidele Sunday night.
“A Walmart employee tells Local 2 she was having lunch at the Subway inside the store when the missing doctor approached her and asked to borrow her cellphone. Omidele had called her sister to tell the family where she was,” said KPRC.
As of now, there is no information as to why Omidele abandoned her home and work for eight days.
