Dancing Joe Boxer ad has amusing pregnant pause

I know everyone has seen Kmart’s holiday commercial with five men using their jolly bellies to play the Christmas song titled, Jingle Bellies.

Well, on December 1st, Kmart came out with another good one of five more people… five pregnant women dancing to the another good Christmas jingle.

These two commercials for 2014’s Christmas shopping season is a 180 from last season’s commercial that showed six “hunky” men rocking their hips like Elvis. ha ha.

At the start of the newest commercial we see the start of a nice choreographed dance routine.

It’s not until the light are turned on that you see their beautiful bellies dancing to the Christmas tune, Santa Baby.

Kmart’s apparel chief marketing officer, Diane Vaccaro said, “We sell a lot of women’s PJs this time of year. We needed a ‘reveal’ that could extend the story from the men’s line.”

Vaccaro also said that finding pregnant dancers wasn’t a simple task and that since the women needed to be “really pregnant”, all of the women were in their last trimesters of their pregnancies.

The cast for the commercial included two extra very “really pregnant” stand-ins who had to learn the choreographed dance just in case one of the regular casted women delivered the baby before the commercial was taped.

Since the commercial was completed, at least one of the women has given birth and the other will be expecting their babies by Christmas.
