A Cleburne, TX family is out for justice after one of their police officer’s body cam was released after the family filed an “open records request” for the police vid and report to be made public of the August 10th shooting.
The officer claimed that he was trying to “secure the dogs” while he waited for animal control to arrive and handle the situation, but that isn’t what happened when the vid shows the officer making kissing noises to call the 6 month old dog and than the officer raising his pistol and firing multiple times killing the dog.

The Cleburne officer was responding to a 911 call from Amanda Tatum-Henderson’s neighbors claiming that there were pit bulls were running loose. The officer claimed that when he arrived he saw 3 dogs keeping some ladies from exiting their vehicles.
The officer’s report says, “As soon as I lifted my pistol, the dog began coming up the hill, continuing to growl and showing his teeth”.
The officer was placed on administrative leave out of state due to the fact that he’s been receiving a number of social media death threats
The Mayor has said, “Do I have a personal opinion from reviewing it? It’s a close call. The video admittedly is very disturbing.”
The city of Cleburne has asked that the Texas Rangers and another agency conduct an independent investigation
