Who is Iam Justified?
Christian Rapper Justin “Iam Justified” Milburn is a native of Houston Texas where he attended Shotwell Middle School, and Klein Forest High School. Growing up his influences were his Grandparents Clary Milburn who is owner of Clary’s Seafood restaurant in Galveston & Doris Milburn who sang alto in Sunday Church services.
After graduating high school Iam Justified chased his longtime dream of being a Television Host, which led him to study and obtain a degree in Mass Media Arts from Clark Atlanta University. While pursuing his dream of being a Television Host he was able to interview Stevie Wonder, Hip-Hop Mogul Russell Simmons, Bishop Desmond Tutu, and a host of other notable talents. It was apparent that Iam Justified was made for TV, but he still did not know what his God given purpose was. There was a time in I am Justified’s life when his trials and tribulations seemed like they were not ending, and the days were only getting darker. It was during this time that he truly had to seek God for guidance, understanding, and peace. He revisited those times when he was a young “church boy”, and began to trust and believe that God was going to bring him out of his dark days. His faith helped him hold onto God’s unchanging hands and rebuild his relationship with Jesus. Iam Justified started using music as his escape.
Although Iam Justified has accomplished Tv Hosting, graduating college, studying abroad to Spain & learning to speak Spanish, along with teaching high school students in the greater Houston area. He is most proud of doing the work of the Lord through Music. Iam Justified’s music is positive, uplifting, motivational, and enjoyable for all ages. In August 2013 Iam Justified recorded the first song off of his upcoming project titled ”Church Folks”, featuring the award winning music artist, Shei Atkins. Since recording “Church Folks” Iam Justified has performed at many Churches throughout the state of Texas, and Stellar Awards Artist Showcase in Nashville ,TN. Along with being the 1st Christian Rapper to perform at ATL Hip Hop Day and many other venues. The thrill and excitement that God has placed in his heart to spread his word has allowed him to further his platform to various cities and states. Iam Justified has always lived by the quote, “All it Took was Faith”.
