(HOUSTON) — A woman who admits to killing her infant son is on trial in downtown Houston.
Narjes Modarresi is charged with capital murder. She is accused of burying her child face-down in a muddy puddle, and then reporting that the baby was kidnapped.

Dirt was found in the infant’s lungs, according to the testimony of the medical examiner in day two of the trial Thursday.
The medical examiner said the 2-month-old drowned.
