Parts of San Felipe are about to be closed for two weeks. The crossing is inside the West Loop at the railroad tracks.
The Harris County Flood Control District needs to tear the bridge out so they can clean out the canal under the over pass.
Flood Control District’s Alan Black:
“Motorists are urged to use Memorial Drive or Westheimer as their east-west alternate route. Again the bridge will be closed for 2 weeks and once that work is complete, it will provide 100 year protection for the area that it drains to. ”
