A New Hampshire lawmaker is taking some heat after claiming on several forums that the Boston Marathon terrorist attack was a covert operation staged by the U.S. government.
State Rep. Stella Tremblay, R-NH, said an email from a constituent opened her eyes to the alleged realities of the April 15 attack, and said the whole thing was “surreal.” Among the key evidence she says indicates that the attack was staged centers on Jeff Bauman, who lost both legs to amputation after sustaining major injuries.
“[H]e was not in shock. I looked and I thought there’s something… I don’t know what’s wrong, but it seems surreal to me,” Tremblay said on conspiracy theorist Pete Santilli‘s radio show. “I talked to my sister, who’s not into politics at all, and she said, “Yea, I saw the same thing.” He was not in shock. He was not in pain. If I had had those type of injuries, I’d be screaming in agony.”
Those comments have stirred some of her constituents to launch an effort on Facebook to impeach Tremblay from her office. One voter, in response, wrote a brief email about how he felt, as reported by the Concord Patch: “you are a f—ing idiot.”
Earlier in the week, Tremblay turned heads when she wrote that the attack was a “Black Ops” operation on conservative commentator Glenn Beck’s Facebook page. According to PolicyMic, the post which has since been removed reads:
“The Boston Marathon was a Black Ops ‘terrorist attack.’ One suspect killed, the other one will be too before they even have a change to speak … Sad day, but a ‘wake up’ to all of us.”
Tremblay credits conspiracy theorist Alex Jones for much of her information, she said.
